A ring is a mathematical structure. It consists of a set of numbers that satisfy various properties such as closure under addition and subtraction, associativity, distributivity, the existence of identities, etc.
The zero ring is a special ring that contains only one element, zero. Although there are debates as to whether the zero ring is considered a true ring or not, if it were considered a true ring, then it is the only ring in which 1 = 0.
